The Eye Place uses the very latest in eye testing technology. The Optomap examines up to 80% of the retina in a comfortable, painless, noninvasive process that takes a fraction of a second taking a photograph of the back of the eye.

Optomap is a complete package in terms of eyecare and is an important tool for the screening and diagnosis of a whole range eye problems. It can also indicate evidence of non-eye diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and certain cancers. One image is taken of your retina like in the picture above, which you are able to see instantly and from which we can determine the best course of action.
